Action is the fastest growing non-food discount retailer in Europe, in Czech republic since 2020 and Slovakia since 2023. Currently we have opened more than 75 stores in Czechia and 25 in Slovakia and we are expanding further. We are proud for our customer focus, cooperation with respect and team spirit. We are a largely data driven organization and therefore for our further expansion and growth we are looking for a colleague on the Business Controller position.
YOUR ROLE IN ACTION
In your role, you will report to the Country Finance Manager and work closely with other departments such as Store Operations, HR and Real Estate. These are our main internal customers.
Among other things, you will:
- Provide general support to the country organization via daily, weekly and monthly reports that you will use, upgrade, create, improve. Possibilities are endless.
- Provide, maintain and prepare financial data and overall performance for planning and decision making. All of that both vertically (from stores level up to group level) as well as horizontally (various information and reports for various departments).
- Support and participate in the preparation and development of forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
- Analyze, combine and conclude on the data and KPIs in comparison with the trends, previous year, budget and forecast.
- You will be given enough freedom to find new relationships between the figures and KPIs and find new ways how to look at things. We are open-minded, listening and always willing to learn something new.
YOUR PROFILE
Ideal candidate should be:
- Careful, organized and reliable, keep an overview even in hectic times
- Carry out the tasks proactively
- Have a university degree
- Around 3 years of experience in finance / controlling (preferably in retail)
- Have excellent knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of SAP and SAP BO is an advantage
